A letter to our community
To everyone who supported SIMD: we owe you an apology and a clear account of what happened.
SIMD's smart contracts were developed by an external developer we had collaborated with on previous work. This was the first project of this scale we had undertaken together, and we had never met in person. At the time, he was the only developer available to us with the expertise to build the core mechanism we had designed: a fee structure paired with IMD and built on the Identity.md swarm.
At his recommendation, $SIMD launched on Stockereum. He later informed us that Stockereum was retaining 1% of every trade without contributing to the project. We asked him to resolve this with them directly; the discussions were unsuccessful and the partnership could not continue. We therefore decided to relaunch on Robinhood Chain, with a 1:1 migration so that every holder would be fully covered.
The wallet designated to receive the migrated tokens was under his sole control. Shortly after the migration opened, all of the tokens sent to it were sold, and the funds held in the SIMD jobs vault were withdrawn.
What happened on-chain (Oct 17, 2026)
- 63 wallets sent 201,151,260 $SIMD to the migration wallet 0xE132be23CE6255930556a45406075E62fb6340C0.
- Between 18:31 and 19:18 UTC that wallet sold all of it (about 3.4 ETH), sold 736 IMD (about 1.6 ETH), took 2,331 IMD out of the SIMD jobs vault and sent 2,361 IMD to 0xf5C00f19ba97B20d75e19B7B98E87dc71b4aE3A4.
- Every transaction is public: see it on Etherscan.
- The full list of affected wallets and amounts is kept here: si-md.xyz/migrate.
We're sorry for what happened, and we're sorry for the lack of professionalism we showed you. Trusting one person with everything was our mistake, and you paid for it. We lost too: we never took a single dollar out of SIMD.
All of SIMD's functions are paused while we rebuild everything properly. This time the contracts are built, audited and deployed by the Identity.md swarm itself, nothing is in the hands of a single person, and everything is public.
If we get the chance again, we're here to do things right.
The plan for the relaunch
We're testing it with the swarm right now. It will take days: everything has to be set up and tested before anything goes live, and the token, the vaults and the launchpad contracts all have to be redeployed.
- Built by the swarm, not by one person. The token and every contract are written, tested, audited (4 auditors + a judge) and deployed by the Identity.md swarm. No owner, no admin, nothing can be changed after deploy.
- Liquidity locked forever. The IMD launch factory seeds the pool and holds it for good. Nobody can pull it.
- No dev bag. 10% to the swarm, 80% into the pool, 10% to the Compensation Vault.
- 2% tax, split every week by the SIMD Vault: rewards for holders (weekly snapshot, can't be gamed), Identity.md swarm jobs for holders, dev and marketing. The token-side fees are burned.
- The dev and marketing share goes back into the launchpad, paying for free launches and visibility for IMD and the swarm.
Covering the losses
- For the first 30 minutes after launch, buys pay an anti-sniper tax that starts at 50% and falls to the normal tax.
- That tax and 10% of the supply go to a Compensation Vault. After the 30 minutes, anyone can trigger it to buy back $SIMD, and then airdrop everything to the 62 wallets affected by the migration, in proportion to what each one lost. No claims needed.
- The list of affected wallets is locked in the contract before launch (Merkle root 0xe84256f66c03a4565c29addd32238495f1a0d5dda8c618e5f81ff8637c296347). Nobody can change it, not even us, and anyone can rebuild it from the chain: see the list.
- It may not refund everyone 100%, but it will be split fairly.
Stay safe
- The old X account (@SuperIMD_eth) is compromised. Do not buy any contract address it posts, and don't click its links.
- Do not send $SIMD anywhere, and don't buy any "new SIMD" or "Super IMD" token.
- Real news only comes from @Simdlaunch on X.
With respect and apologies,
The SIMD team
